Ingredients

• 150g butter, room temperature
• 1/2 cup (100g) caster sugar
• 1/2 cup (80g) packed brown sugar
• 1 egg
• 1 tsp vanilla extract
• 1 3/4 cups (215g) plain flour
• 1/2 cup (85g) dark chocolate chips
• 1/2 cup (85g) milk chocolate chips

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 180°C/Gas 4 and line two baking trays with greaseproof paper.
2. Place butter, sugars and vanilla in an electric mixer and beat for 1-2 minutes until smooth and well combined. Add egg and whisk until combined.
3. Add the flour in two batches, stirring after each addition. Add the dark and milk choc chips and mix thoroughly.
4. Measure level tablespoons of dough. Roll into balls and place evenly spaced on prepared trays. Press down slightly on each ball.
5. Bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown. When cooked, remove from the oven and transfer to a wire rack to cool.
6. Store in an airtight container for up to 1 week.
